Charity Spotlight - Direct Relief

At the end of 2019, the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) began to strike Wuhan, China fiercely and infected people from 1 year old to 80 years old, mainly the elderly.

Measures such as mass isolation, shutting down transportation and mobilizing the public to abide by hygienic practices have been vigorously advocated and implemented by the government and society to forestall the spread of the virus.

Around 25,000 doctors and nurses have been dispatched across China to Wuhan to support the local hospitals while sacrificing their time with families during the Chinese New Year.

Until now, the virus has spread around the world, with China confirming 70,000 cases, Japan and South Korea being the second and third having most cases outside of China.

The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) was a new coronavirus similar to SARS coronavirus (SARS-CoV)  that happened in 2003, which has infected around 8,098 people.

Viruses know no boundaries, so do care and love.

Viruses can spread, love and care can transcend space and time.

We understand the spread of the virus will potentially bring a threat to the world. After the outbreak of all those contagious diseases like Ebola and coronavirus, we came to the realization of how little human beings are in front of nature and disease.

We’d like to support all the frontline medical staff and non-medical workers in China to fight against the virus by donating to Direct Relief, which coordinates with public health authorities in China and in the U.S. to provide personal protective equipment to health care workers in regions where there are confirmed cases of coronavirus (COVID-19).

Direct Relief has delivered surgical masks, N95 respirator masks, gloves, gowns, and other items from its emergency medical stockpile that have been specifically requested to hospitals and health centers as appropriate.

If like us, you would like to support Direct Relief and beat the novel coronavirus, you can find more information on how to donate here:
